CREATORS PHILOSOPHY

The creator of Coogi Mr. Jacky Taranto has a unique ability to work with colour and to create textures and designs from a spectacular range of fibers to form garments that a person can identify with by way of a personally felt connection. Fashion is about feelings, which is why Coogi is crafted with love and to the wearer it holds an everlasting value.

It is his inspiration which drives the principle philosophy of Coogi, which is to create a wearable and unique work of art for people to enjoy which makes them feel special. In his product he seeks to defy a world which focuses on fashion as mass production, or to the other extreme designer labels which are specialised but overpriced for most people.

The essence of the garments in the Coogi Collection are created to provide a unique, one of a kind, truly designer piece, at value for money which allows it to be tangible for people.

bowron sheepskin

Why are BOWRON Rugs the best in the World? The Tanning - the following explanation has been proved to us by Bowron and relates to their current tanning process.

All of our GL Bowron sheepskin/lambskin product is tanned using the "TANTEX" tanning process. It should be noted that we don't stock any other sheepskin/lambskin product than Bowron, the others simply are not good enough for us and more importantly your customers.

After years of technical development and consumer testing in world markets Bowron believe that they have developed a tannage that meets the strict quality criteria of the Bowron Gold Star mark in a more complete way than ever before.

"Tantex" enables Bowron to produce thier trademark Bowron "ivory" wool with a purity of colour and a lustre never seen before. Technical innovation has enabled them to achieve this whilst still retaining washability and without the chemical residues often found in other lambskin tannages.

More than just looking and feeling better than ever before, the Bowron "Tantex" Gold Star rug is produced within a restrictive environmental frame work that you would expect in the years ahead. Bowron has a commitment to ongoing technical innovation and "Tantex" tanning is one result of this.

The quest for a new generation tannage has been made in response to a number of specific issues. The need to produce larger volumes of Bowron Star quality lambskins, increasing demand for higher quality lambskins requires a process that can produce this quality consistently over larger production runs.

A demand for more intense brilliant shades and pastels from designers working with our products. Lambskins are very much a product of the moment, and those working with them want shades that embody the vibrancy of today's home.

A change in the flocks from which Bowron selects its raw materials The fine wool animals that Bowron make thier selection from are kept in the paddock for longer and are being exposed more to the effects of the weather. This has resulted in larger skin sizes but has had an adverse effect on wool colour.

All Bowron rug met international limits for Formaldehyde in interior textiles.

In summary, the Bowron "Tantex" Star will give you: More Bowron Ivory: You can be confident that all skins bearing the Bronze, silver and Gold Star marks, have attained the Bowron Ivory colour standard.

A simpler grading System: With all Bronze, Silver and Gold lambskins, Gold Star quality, the difference between the three is simply pelt and wool length. Brighter Colours: For those who chose from the Bowron colour palate, more intense shades are assured and previously unattainable pastels can be offered.

An environmentally sustainable Product, Tantex tanning delivers you Bowron Gold Star quality using 50% less water and a primary tanning agent that does not bio-accumulate.

Washable Lambskins

We recommend the following method to wash our sheepskin rugs.

Machine or hand wash in cold or warm water (water not to exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit) using a mild detergent.

We recommend Pure Castile, biodegradable camp soaps or Eucalan Wool wash.

Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide. Line Dry or tumble using the "cool" or "warm" setting not Hot.

Air dry for best results. For best results, the sheepskin should be brushed with a wire brush when wet, when damp and then when dry.
